Ally got her tonsils out - Feb 13th...(Friday the 13th)

Well Ally had her tonsils and adenoids out on Feb. 13th (friday the 13th) - good thing I am not very superstitous! She had been getting sick a lot and her tonsils were "bumpy and pitted" and so any infections would just get in there and not go away. She kept getting fevers from her "chronic tonsilitis". We went in for a consult on Tues and ended up getting surgery that Friday. Wow! It was sort of a whirlwind week, but I am so thankful now that we took them out and that it was so quick. She has not been sick since. (cross our fingers)

The night before we gave her a gift basket with powerade, tylenol, art supplies and a new doll. She loved it and she took a few things to the hospital with her in the morning. (She looks so pale to me and I can tell she didn't feel well - they needed to come out)

She was pretty good there, but she REALLY DIDN'T LIKE THESE PAJAMAS...they were not "GIRLY" enough or "PRETTY" - I think it was her way of saying she was scared and trying to control something. But that was the worst part of being there, so we got through that part pretty good I guess :)

It definately was a little tougher recovery than I planned. She was on Lortab for a full 7 days pretty much every 4 hours. She was not sleeping well at night (took 10 days to sleep through the night) - But most of the day she was happy. Mornings when she first woke up and nights were hard though.
