Week with The Smith's

I heard about a great summer camp for Ally and thought that Brandon would like it too. Marci said Kiersten would probably love it, so I asked if they could come stay the week with me and go to the camp. We had a great week and it was fun to get to know them better and have our kids play together.

Monday - Brandon, Kiersten and Ally went to a Summer Camp for 4-6 year olds. The first day was Camper day. They made bread bears and pretended that it was raining in the tent and made tin foil dinners. They all had a great time. Austin, Marci, Reagan and I went to Kohl's and to lunch while they were at camp.
We went to Aggie Ice Cream in the afternoon. There were lots of people there that have a tradition to go on their way home from Bear Lake. It is a tasty treat!

Tuesday we went to Willow Park Zoo. It is a tiny little zoo in Logan that costs $1 for adults and .50 for kids. So $3 for us all to go is quite the bargain. They have lots of birds of all kinds and lots of the mountain animals that we have in this area. Antelope, coyotes, bald eagles, elk, deer, they also have kangaroos and monkey and more things. There is plenty of shade and the kids had a great time.

We played in the yard, made a fort in the basment and went to an Elder's Quorum party that night at a fun park. Kiersten made a friend and we had them come over and play on Thursday.
Wednesday - was water day at camp. They had a great time. They got their faces painted and raced soap boats and decorated visors. After camp. We had a picnic in the backyard and they played outside all day in the sprinklers, hammock and sandbox. Thursday we had a couple friends over, but in the morning we did bubbles and sidewalk chalk. Kiersten is very creative and sweet and always had the kids getting along and having fun.Thursday night we were going to swimming at the city pool. But Kiersten mentioned that she hasn't really ever gone on a hike in the mountains, so we went up Providence Canyon and had a picnic(but I forgot a blanket) and went on a small hike. They had fun and were all good hikers.

Friday - last day of camp was Cooking Day - these are the teachers, Ester and Olivia. They were great!

Don't remember what days these were, but we had a lot of baths, watch movies (mostly Camp Rock), had snacks, and had fun.

Thanks for letting me keep your kids for the week Marci. We had a great time and I think our kids will remember it for a long time. We were all worn out (especially me), but I am so glad that we were able to do it. We will miss you guys so much.
