Ally's 4th Birthday

Well - Ally turned 4 years old today - I really can't believe it!

When she woke up this morning I told her to look out her window. It was Glen's idea to write in the snow Happy Birthday Ally. Our snow is probably at least 2 feet just out in the lawn, and so we just put our boots on and walked her name out in the snow. It looked good and she loved it.

When she woke up this morning she came into my bathroom and looked in the mirror and got really upset. So I asked her what was wrong. She said, " I am supposed to be taller when I am 4 years old." I guess she thought that on her birthday she would automatically grow taller. So cute. So we went downstairs on our wall where I had measured her a while ago and she had grown about 1/2 inch - so that was good enough for her!

Glen took 1/2 the day off to spend with Ally. We all went to Wendy's for lunch (Ally's choice) and then Glen and Ally went to the Cache Valley Fun Park where they rollerskated (she didn't really get the hang of), and went bowling (which she loved) - they played Deal or No Deal and won 100 tickets to buy prizes with. She and Glen had a great time. Tonight she is at her preschool class. So all in all she has had a great birthday.

Last Saturday, my parents came up and we had a party. They gave her a bike and my mom made her a nightgown. We gave her dress-up clothes and new regular clothes, hair things, and new socks (she was actually really excited about the socks) - I love new socks too, but I didn't know she would. We had a good time. Then Glen, Me and my Dad went to the USU BBall game vs. Nevada. It was fun and the Aggies won - so that's always a bonus. She doesn't get this from me.

On Sunday - she loved that she was sung to in Primary! Her Sunbeam teacher said that she was so excited to stand up there in front of everyone. :) Her teacher brought her buy some ice cream, a jump rope and a frizbee. She loved it.

Anyway, we have had a great week. I am going to Blackfoot, Idaho tomorrow to babysit Lori's kids while they are in Germany. So Murray and Kathy are coming up the last 2 days and we will have another party for her - she is so spoiled and very loved.

I love Ally so much.

I love her dimples.
I love her love for learning.
I love that she wants our family to be together forever.
I love that she stays dry at night.
I love that she goes to bed so good.
I love her smile.
I love that even when Isaac throws things at her head, she says" I still love you bud."
I love her imagination and love for singing (sometimes!)

I just am so lucky to be her mom, and I hope I can raise her well!

She is darling.. Happy Birthday Ally.
I loved the idea of writing Happy Birthday in the snow and that is so cute that her and Glen went on a date.
Sounds like she had a great day.

I can't believe Ally is 4! She looks so cute with her purple headband. You and Glen are the best parents ever. Even if Brock or I were creative enough to come up with the snow idea, I don't think we would have actually put on our boots and did it. Sounds like Ally had a blast and don't worry...my birthday philosophy is that it lasts ALL month. Bring on multiple parties!

I know you secretly play "girly girl" dress up when you are alone. Tell Ally we said "Happy Birthday". Did I mention that I miss you? Keri
