The GOOD:
#1 She started playing indoor soccer. She was awesome. She scored the first goal on Tuesday and she scored 1 goal on Thursday. She thinks she scored 3 goals the first night, because she thought if she kicked it over the end line (anywhere) it was a goal, not just between the cones. But I think we have her straightened out on that one. But she was fast and did really well. She was really worn out and tired from running so much, so it's great for excercise. She plays 8 games for the season... they play on Tues and Thurs for a month. Her team name is Lighting!
#2 Last Friday, Ally and I went to the dentist. Ally had 1 cavity and they asked if we wanted to schedule to fill it some other time. And, Glen and I just wanted to do it right then, since we were already there. So they numbed her with gel stuff, and then gave her a shot to numb the spot. She was so brave and didn't cry at all. They filled the cavity in about 15 min with no problem. I was so proud of her and so glad to get it taken care of.
THE BAD and THE UGLY:
The bad - she cut her hair , the ugly (how her hair looks) :)
SHE BUTCHERED HER HAIR! A LOT! Last night, Glen and I were watching the Jazz game (that was awful), Isaac and Ally were up in her room playing. They were playing so well and it was pretty quiet(I know...I should have known). But Glen checked on the once and they were reading a book. Then she came downstairs and I was like "What's up with your hair?" and then I realized. I honestly started crying when I saw and then she started crying. She cut the right side pretty short. I was cleaning her room this morning and found hair everywhere. It's not like she did one big cut and thought, uh oh. No, she just kept chopping away. I thought that she was smart enough to not do this. She cut her bangs awhile ago at my parent's house and I thought she learned her lesson, apparently not. I could just die!
We took her to a girl and had her try to fix it. It looks cute short, but there is definatly some hair missing on the side that we will just have to wait for it to grow. Oh Man.

i was just thinking in the first few pictures how cute i thought her hair was short... oh, crap!!!!!! is she sorry she did it at all???? kamryn almost starting crying when she saw it. how sad, and frusterating and... oh, just read the link on my last blog entry and you'll forgive her in a big hurry!
I'm sorry but that is pretty bad, one of the worst I have seen. Good thing she is so cute!! What's a little hair anyway Eh?
I am sorry. I was just talking to some friends about this the other day. They both have little girls that just cut their hair too.
She is still so cute.
Nooooooooo! At least you can only tell from the side view, right? When Rex did this, I could just shave it, I can't imagine what I would do if I had a girl do it! (((((((Katherine)))))))
I think that is really funny. I guess every little girl is going to take her turn at that.
I love the soccer pictures...you have a blue bow in her hair!! :)
At t-ball the other night some of the other moms were talking about how in soccer by the time the get to highschool and for sure college all of the girls that play declare their lesbian desires. I am glad Ally is steering clear of that or any confusions towards that with the big bow! :)
Kelly cut her own hair when she was 4. Kelly also cut Nate's hair when she did her own. She did not cut hers as short as Ally did. She ended up with a cute bob. Don't worry, it will grow back. And she is still beautiful!
Oh that is so sad. The nice thing about boys is that if they do cut their hair, no one notices and it is gone on a matter of weeks. But those poor girls. Kathleen had "bangs" for a while. I mean, we couldn't do anything else with the hair she cut.
well at least your child did it to herself, if my children's hair is messed up it's usually a botched hair cut courtesy of me! Once I just told everyone ty did it to himself because I was so embarrassed I didn't want to pay the money for a haircut!
When you have girls you just have to wait for that day to come. Because it will. Sorry! I have been there also and I cried too.
Oh im so sorry katherine, Adds did that not to long ago, except she cut off her bangs and we were growing them out, she said they were buggin her so she cut them at school with her art scizzors! The little mutts!!
Sad... I guess every kid has to do it once!
hi it's tylene thanks for saying comments on my birthday posts i never cut my hair just all my barbies, and i had my mom jolene pierce my baby dolls ears and dad didn't like it
Oh no! Katherine, I'm so sorry. This little picture of Ally missing her hair did make me laugh though. I shouldn't laugh, I'll get mine.
Whatever- Ally knows what's cool. It's like the totally modern/punk look right? Hey I never cut my hair when I was little (rule follower)and then the night before 8th grade picture day I thought I should "trim" my bangs. I looked so rididculous! At least she is getting experience now because a bad hair cut at 4 is way less embarassing than a bad haircut at 13.
It would be funny to put a couple of pink/purple streaks in the long hair on the right side and have her single-handedly bring back the 80's for 4-year-old girls! 20 years ago, that would have been cut that way on purpose!!
I love it, I think every little girl does it at least once. She is still a cutie.
