------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have had a wonderful year and I think all the time, even the stressful ones, how blessed I am to have a wonderful husband and healthy kids. We are so thankful for all of our blessings.
Since Glen finished his MBA at the end of last year, he started looking for job opportunities throughout the year. We looked into many opportunities and recently a position was offered to him at the bank that we decided would be good for him and for our family. He will continue to be at Zions Bank in Executive Banking, but will be at Zions Head Office in downtown Salt Lake City. We feel that he will have many more opportunities within the bank and outside the bank potentially in the Salt Lake area. So after the first of the year, we will be putting our house on the market and looking to move. We are excited for this change and feel it's right for our family. We are not excited to leave the beauty of Cache Valley, our home we have worked so hard on, and friends we have made.
I (Katherine) have had a busy year with the kids. I wrote a Primary Program, helped in Ally's class, carpooled to preschool and tumbling, and just try to keep the kids fed, in clean clothes, bathed and keep up with what shoes or books go to school which day! I did manage to do a website for my brother's dental practice and have recently started a business scanning 35mm slides to digital. It has been fun to see my dad's old slides as I start out.
Ally loved kindergarten and loves 1st grade even more since she gets to go all day. (Though does not like mom waking her up every morning for school). She loves reading and has lots of fun at school doing art projects and making new friends. She has done tumbling and dance, swimming, teeball and even basketball this year (which made her mom happy)!
Isaac has loved preschool and to my surprise has only gone to the "power chair" (timeout) 2 times, that I know of. He has learned the letters of the alphabet and is doing well at writing them now. He is amazingly good at Super Mario Bros. on the Wii and will play whenever we allow him too! He also did teeball and swimming this year and did very well also! He is a big help at home with Macy during the day and plays with (tortures) her a lot!
Macy has grown up a lot in 2010! She started to crawl, then walk around her 1st birthday and is now running(away from us)! She is a very happy little girl who gets into EVERYTHING and keeps up on our toes! She loves to dance and loves Dora. We just took her bottle away, which she loved very much. She is doing very well, though it's been harder on us than her, as she doesn't go to bed good as before. She is such a blessing in our lives and we love her so much!
We also got together several times with both of our families, which is so fun! The kids love their cousins more than anyone in the world and they have the best Grandparents ever. We love getting together and playing games, cards and just being together with Glen's family. Katherine's whole family was together this summer and hasn't been for years and that was a highlight of the year!
We are excited to see our kids on Christmas this year. We have had fun doing 12 days of Christmas and Christmas countdowns from our grandmas. We have loved all the yummy treats and fun holiday art projects! We haved loved giving gifts and thinking about the Savior this time of year. We are thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the comfort and peace it brings us. We are thankful for all of our family and friends and hope you are all doing well also.
Merry Christmas,
Glen, Katherine, Ally, Isaac and Macy Murdoch
